Bodhi Greenman Interacting with the world on a physical level

I have to add this because this is so funny. I saw this week when I admit things about myself, or do things that make me uncomfortable ... how my ego is challenged it doesn't like it and it shrinks away. So here is something I have never told anyone. I was at a Yoga festival last year, busy about my own stuff watching people (in my opinion) doing some pretty dumb things and whilst I was walking around congratulating myself on how awake I was, and at the same time internally criticizing these… Continue

Daniel McCann Who is S. Peter****?

Anyway, Wow, a year on and gone. It has been busy for me along with all the other Tin Foil Hat people. Finished a few things started a few others. For instance, in October of last year my solar panels and wind turbine went up and became functional. This year I will be doing some food production and storage work among other stuff. I would like to say the completed projects are evidence of my ability to do--but it probably has more to do with two horrific ice storms in the past three years. Not… Continue

William The spiritual side

I've begun to focus more on the Sufi tradition to make up the spiritual side of my work. It obviously ties into the Fourth Way well. Sufism gives me a way to seeing the world and my life including it's spiritual elements, while the Fourth Way gives me clear, simple and practical exercises. The Sufis focus on love and one's relationship to the Beloved/God/Reality. It also ties into my personal life as my relationship to my wife has been the most powerful and direct spiritual experience of my lif… Continue

William my most powerful 'I'

I'm discovering that my most powerful "I" may be my "all is okay" I. It pops up and I feel fine, don't need to do anything, don't need to fix anything, all is well. When this one is in charge, it becomes difficult to maintain the witness, to "step back" and observe. It may thus be my most buffered I, the one most heavily separated from the others. Continue

William Greetings

Greetings to the other members of this site. My wife and I have been working through the phat podcasts and I'm very happy to find resources that are making the Fourth Way so practical and clear. I've found plenty of sources that can get so deeply into the theory i wind up beating my head against a wall crying, "Yeah, but what do I DO?" I've come to the Fourth Way from a long interest in mysticism and the esoteric (and a lot of dead ends where I mistook an exoteric church or group as a reliable… Continue

James Parkinson Pretense

We have two Wednesday night groups that met to share our experiences with the exercises that I've added to this site. Not many have shared their experiences here. Of course I don't know why people haven't but I know why some people haven't. It's not because the exercises don't work. Our groups have just completed them for the second time. We did one exercise a week until we had finished all eleven exercises. Then we started again to see if we could notice any differences between the two times. B… Continue

James Parkinson The Last Hour of Life

The Last Hour of Life
By G.I. Gurdjieff

Imagine, that you have only a few minutes, maybe an hour left to live; somehow you have discovered exactly when you will die. What would you do with this precious hour of your stay on Earth? Would you be able to complete all your things in this last hour, do you have a conscious idea about how to do it?

And letting go your last breath would you feel satisfaction from knowing that you have done ev

Daniel McCann James and the World of War Craft

Here the story:

I recently had to throttle back some downloads so my son could play WOW without too much latency (from my LAN) and lag (from my downloads) occurring in his gaming session. With irritability he advised me of his stats: latency, frame rate etc, followed by a request to throttle 'at least some of the activity on the LAN.'

Now for the loose associative part:

I listen to the podcast "Jame World Phat" on the way to work each day, and the morning of the the a… Continue
