I think I first heard the phrase 'the 4th Way' in the 1950's in the English newspaper the Daily Express which carried a column sniping at anything in the news that was unusual/different. Being a 'polarity responder' I kept it in mind for many years that I would sooner or later find out about the 4th Way. Twenty years later rummaging in a second-hand bookshop I came quite by chance across the book by that name. It didn't disappoint!

Yes, Colin, I see your point. Never having read one of those dummy books I don't know what the authors think of their audience. As I said before, I'm not attached to the word and positively willing to change it if you've got a suggestion for something to take it's place. I think I did try idiots and NING wouldn't allow it saying there was already a group using that name. Alas, I'm with Shakespeare. Much ado about nothing.
