The Work for Dummies

The Fourth Way for the rest of us.

If you call Right Livelihood financial advice then the answer is yes. Honestly though I can't think of a Teacher worthy of the name giving financial advice that would satisfy the outer man. That's not what they do because that's not what matters. Ho…

Would buddha give financial advice? If I was to use force, of the demanding, verbal and 'jump into the situation and change things' sort of way--I would most definitely be stepping on toes, feelings, and pride. Yet the legacy left by a deceased man…

Hello and Welcome

There are things we can work at before we have all the answers: try to remember ourselves, try not to express negative emotions, realize our nothingness, be genuine, observe ourselves as interesting strangers, stop internal consideration, start external consideration, and let the end of it all be Goodness. This is my work today. Here, we hope to share with one another practical ways to realize our aims. Since esoteric teachings suggest we are in a prison from which it is possible to escape, a certain amount of study is necessary. This Work is like studying a map, and we can use this map before we have the whole thing memorized.

Who is S. Peter****?

Anyway,

Wow, a year on and gone. It has been busy for me along with all the other Tin Foil Hat people. Finished a few things started a few others. For instance, in October of last year my solar panels and wind turbine went up and became functional. This year I will be doing some food production and storage work among other stuff. I would like to say the completed projects are evidence of my ability to do--but it probably has more to do with two horrific ice storms in the past three years.

The spiritual side

I've begun to focus more on the Sufi tradition to make up the spiritual side of my work. It obviously ties into the Fourth Way well. Sufism gives me a way to seeing the world and my life including it's spiritual elements, while the Fourth Way gives me clear, simple and practical exercises.

The Sufis focus on love and one's relationship to the Beloved/God/Reality. It also ties into my personal life as my relationship to my wife has been the most powerful and direct spiritual experience of my lif… Continue
